My name is Alexys. I’m 24 years old, a self-taught photographer, avid nature fan, love music, Jesus, and food, a mama to an adorable baby boy, dog-mom to two cute pups, and a proud wife.

My photography journey began a little differently than most. I had dreamt of getting paid to take photographs one day but was told that being a photographer probably wouldn't support me and that I needed to pursue something else. YEARS LATER, after graduating high school, I went on and began my medical school path to become a pediatric surgeon. After pursuing that career for a couple of years, I felt God leading me towards another path. I didn't know what path that was exactly, I just knew it was different. My mind went back to that little (or rather, really big) dream I had as a kid and my husband, Josh, who at the time was only my boyfriend bought me my first camera for Christmas. The rest is history! I began teaching myself everything I could about my camera, photoshop, how to pose people, etc. I now have the honor of waking up every day knowing that I'm doing something that I absolutely love which I will forever be grateful for.

Facts about me:

• I met Josh when we were in 8th and 9th grade! We'll be married for 4 years as of 2022 and we've been together for a total of 9 years!
• I love dogs and have two! Griffin is my mini dachshund and Koda is my red heeler/collie mix.
• In my free time I love spending time with Josh and Asher, being outdoors, and just relaxing.
• My favorite food for almost my entire life was mac-n-cheese but now I don't like it anymore. *insert super sad emoji
• I love kids (which is why specializing in family photography is perfect for me) and want to have a few some day.
• I love making art with my images and editing with bold colors.
• Christmas time is my favorite time of year however fall is my favorite season.
• Blue is my favorite color.
• Interior decorating is a passion and hobby of mine.
• I am a mix between introvert and extrovert as well as serious and silly.
